Ordering the birth kit

Please have the birth kit supplies on hand by the date of our 36-week home visit.

You can order the custom birth kit directly from birthwithlove.com. The appropriate type and dosage of oral vitamin K, if you choose that option for your newborn, is also available on this page. (No other selections on this page are recommended by Community Midwives.)

You are welcome to assemble the birth kit yourself, if you don't mind a bit of extra time and trouble. Supplies you need:

-at least 1/2 dozen extra large sanitary pads

-at least one dozen over-night or long sanitary pads

-15-20 large protective underpads (Assure, Chux, etc)

-1 spray bottle (wash well in soapy water)

-easy-to-wash underwear

-flexible tape measure (cm & inches)

-loose leaf herbs (1/3-1/2 cup from each category: anti-infective, anti-infalmmatory, tissue healling - consult me if you need specific suggestions)
